New 4-bay NAS system offers 150% faster speeds, ECC memory, and up to 180TB storage capacity for professional and enterprise needs.
Synology has launched the DiskStation DS925+, a new NAS solution designed for professionals and businesses seeking high-performance data management, scalability, and robust reliability in a compact form. Powered by a quad-core AMD Ryzen™ processor and ECC memory, the DS925+ delivers significant performance improvements over its predecessor—offering up to 150% faster upload and write speeds.
Designed to meet the growing demands of hybrid workplaces and remote teams, the DS925+ features dual 2.5GbE ports, two M.2 NVMe slots for SSD caching, and supports USB-C expansion. With the new DX525 expansion unit, users can scale up to 9 drive bays and reach a total capacity of 180TB.
“The 4-bay Plus Series models inherited over one million installations and have always been among our most widely-adopted products,” said Jeffrey Huang, Product Manager at Synology. “Not only are they favored by professionals but also deployed by enterprises in remote and branch environments as edge servers. For this reason, we’ve designed the DS925+ to deliver business-grade performance and reliability.”
With the Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM), the DS925+ supports features like Synology Drive for private cloud functionality, Active Backup Suite for data protection across platforms, and Surveillance Station for intelligent video analytics.
The DS925+ and DX525 are now available globally through Synology’s partner and reseller network.
