The Infotech Software Dealers Association (ISODA) organised its 13th annual TechSummit (TSXIII) in Kathmandu from Jan 24th to Jan 27th at Hotel Hyatt Regency. With the tag line Align. Build. Conquer, the event turned out to be more than that.
The event was attended by over 100 IT Channel CEOs, including System Integrators, Indian ISVs, and Value-Added Distributors. The event offered a perfect cocktail of thought-provoking sessions, OEM-driven technology showcases, and interactive business engagements designed to address industry challenges, inspire innovation, and drive strategic growth. It was not only that but it was a perfect ground for unwinding and camaraderie between the Indian IT channel ecosystem representing various cities.
The delegates were given wonderful welcome by the hotel and the organizer on the fist day with traditional style of auspicious tika, stole and classical Nepali dances. The event started with welcome note from Prashant Jain, Chairman, ISODA and senior officials from Government of Nepal including Mr. Ashok K Thapa, CTO, CG Communication Group & Ex CTO Nepal Telecom inaugurated the event as Chief Guest along with Mr. Raghubir Mahaseth, House of Representatives, Federal Parliament of Nepal, Former Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister – Government of Nepal – Secretary Central Secretariat & Chief Department of Foreign affairs and Dr. Shaligram Parajuli, “Information Technology Expert Advisor, Of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of Nepal” respectively as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Speaking in his inaugural speech, Dr. Shaligram had enumerated about the success of Nepal government in the direction of IT and digitization. He also hailed the efforts of ISODA for bringing in the contingent of entrepreneurs from India and urged to extend cooperation between two brotherly nations. Mr. Thapa also had praised the efforts of ISODA and sought cooperation between two countries and welcomed the ISODA members to be work actively in Nepal.
This customary inauguration was followed by presentations form the sponsors including Quantum Networks, which was represented by its Corporate Vice President Abhijit Potdar, who had explained about his company strategy and asked the members to join his partner ecosystem. Sophos’ Senior Director, Channel Sales for Asia Pacific and Japan, Chad Cleevely had enumerated about his partner success in the region and urged to strengthen the bond. GFI Software, Distribution Sales Manager-DACH,EMEA and APAC, Vineeth Nair has presented the gathering about AI led products’ strategy.
Sumitha Sunil, Account Director at GoTo and Saurabh Mittal, Senior Solutions Consultant at GoTo had showcased products uniqueness.
Dipesh Kaura, Regional Sales Director India & SAARC, Securonix, Sagar Surangalikar, Director – Channels & Alliances, South Asia, Entrust and Clifford Ang Regional Sales Director, APAC, ThriveDX had given their company presentation.
The interesting part of the session was Ritesh Shantaram Andre, who represented Mumbai Dabbawalla and memorised the audience with his narration of Dabbawala story and their customer engagement strategy.
However as the day 2 was closing there was a surprise activity from Santosh Tantri and Justin C Babu which was all about Leadership & Team Building.
Day three was very interesting as all the delegates were taken to the visit of Chandragiri and Pashupatinath. It was a very fulfilling exposure and engagement for all the delegates.
