Epson Launches AM-C10000 Business Inkjet Printer for High-Volume Workloads

Epson has expanded its business inkjet portfolio in Australia and New Zealand with the WorkForce Enterprise AM-C10000, a flagship multifunction printer designed to help enterprises manage high-volume document production while reducing energy consumption, maintenance requirements and operating costs.

The device delivers print speeds of up to 100 ISO pages per minute, duplex scanning at up to 120 images per minute and a first-page-out time of approximately 4.7 seconds. Epson is targeting government departments, healthcare providers, educational institutions, large enterprises and print service providers that need consistent performance across demanding document workflows.

The launch reflects a broader shift in enterprise print procurement, where organisations are increasingly assessing devices on total cost of ownership rather than speed and purchase price alone. Energy consumption, service requirements, uptime and sustainability targets are becoming important considerations as businesses modernise legacy print infrastructure.

At the centre of the AM-C10000 is Epson’s Heat-Free printing technology, which eliminates the need to apply heat during the printing process. According to Epson, this approach can reduce power consumption, limit the number of replaceable components and reduce maintenance interventions compared with comparable laser devices. The company says customers switching to inkjet have achieved energy consumption reductions of up to 90%, although actual savings will depend on device configuration and usage patterns.

“Energy consumption is becoming a key consideration for organisations investing in high-speed equipment. The WorkForce Enterprise AM-C10000 delivers production-class performance while using substantially less energy than comparable laser technologies,” said Craig Heckenberg, Managing Director of Epson Australia.

Beyond printing performance, the AM-C10000 is designed to support enterprise document management and security requirements. Features include secure print release, user authentication, auditability and integration with enterprise workflows. Optional finishing capabilities, including stapling, hole punching and booklet production, allow organisations to bring more document production in-house.

A 10.1-inch touchscreen and a common interface shared with Epson’s broader AM Series are intended to simplify user training and fleet standardisation across A3 and A4 environments. High-yield ink supplies and high-capacity paper handling are also designed to reduce manual intervention in busy print rooms.

For organisations operating large print fleets, the potential benefits extend beyond lower energy bills. Reduced maintenance demands and less downtime can help improve workflow continuity and ease pressure on IT and facilities teams.

However, the business case will ultimately depend on individual print volumes, application requirements and the comparative lifecycle costs of existing equipment. With the AM-C10000, Epson is strengthening its proposition that business inkjet can meet production-level demands while offering an alternative to traditional laser-based printing.
