Vembu Technologies Launches Pan-India Dialogue Series on Cyber Resilience, Begins in Chennai

Rather than a one-off event, Vembu Meet has been conceived as a continuing, city-by-city dialogue on data protection and recovery readiness in the DPDP era, with each edition contributing to a larger, evolving national narrative on the subject.

Vembu Technologies, the company behind BDRShield and XDRShield, has hosted the inaugural edition of Vembu Meet 2026, themed “Beyond Compliance: Building Recovery Readiness in the DPDP Era.” The Chennai dialogue series convened founders, CXOs, IT and security heads to examine how India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act connects compliance with data protection, backup, cyber resilience and business continuity.

The Chennai edition marks the first stop in a planned nationwide rollout of Vembu Meet, which the company intends to take to multiple Tier-I and Tier-II cities across India through 2026 and beyond. The invite-only session, held at Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway, brought together founders and business owners, CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, CTOs, CISOs and IT and compliance heads for an afternoon of discussion, a live Q&A and quiz, and a product demonstration of Vembu's BDRShield and XDRShield platforms.

The centrepiece of the session was a moderated panel discussion on “Beyond Compliance - Building Cyber Resilience in the DPDP Era,” featuring Ramesh Rajaraman, Chief Information Officer, A.M.M. Foundation, Chennai,Nagarajan Chandrasekaran, Vice President, Product Management, Vembu Technologies Ananda Rajesh A, Head - Technical Consultant, IT, Ultimatum Solutions, moderated by Bhavani Shanmugam, Product Manager, Vembu Technologies

Panelists agreed that regulatory compliance alone does not equal resilience, pointing to recovery testing and third-party risk as the biggest gaps still facing Indian organisations, and called for cyber resilience to be treated as a board-level business priority rather than an IT function. The session closed with each panelist completing the thought, “Cyber resilience is impossible without ,” leaving the audience with a set of concise, practical takeaways.

 The session drew senior business and technology leaders from organisations including MRF Limited, Shriram Chits, Hyundai, Rane Holdings, A.M.M Foundation, Capgemini, Aricent Technologies Holdings Private Limited, BHEL, Lotte India, HTC Global Services and The KCP Limited.
