 Fortinet has announced key advancements to its Operational Technology (OT) Security Platform, reinforcing protection for critical infrastructure and industrial sites against evolving cyberthreats. The updates include deeper OT-specific threat visibility, expanded ruggedized solutions for segmentation and 5G, and enhanced OT security operations for automated threat response and compliance tracking.

  • New FortiGate Rugged NGFWs and expanded FortiGuard OT Security Service to detect threats across 3,300+ OT protocol rules and 750+ OT IPS rules.
  • FortiSwitch Rugged 108F & 112F-POE for granular security enforcement and preventing unauthorized lateral movement in OT networks.
  • Ruggedized 5G solutions – FortiExtender Rugged 511G (for remote sites) and FortiExtender Vehicle 511G (for fleet security), featuring Wi-Fi 6 and eSIM capabilities.
  • AI-driven OT Security Operations: FortiAnalyzer 7.6 and FortiDeceptor 6.1 provide enhanced threat insights and simplified compliance reporting.
