Ankesh Kumar Joins Ingram Micro India as Chief Marketing Officer

In a strategic move to bolster its marketing leadership, Ingram Micro India has appointed Ankesh Kumar as the Director and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Kumar, who previously held a prominent position at Schneider Electric, brings a wealth of experience and a bold vision to his new role.

Ankesh Kumar’s tenure at Schneider Electric was marked by his innovative approach to global marketing strategy, driving brand awareness and demand generation across various business units. His efforts significantly enhanced the customer journey and supported business priorities within the commercial and industrial segments.

At Ingram Micro, Kumar is expected to lead the company’s marketing initiatives, focusing on expanding its market presence and driving growth through innovative marketing campaigns. His appointment is seen as a pivotal step in Ingram Micro’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership team and achieve its ambitious growth targets.

As part of the Executive Leadership Team at Ingram Micro India, Kumar will lead a high-performance marketing team focused on driving multi-billion-dollar revenue growth and shaping the future of digital transformation in the IT channel ecosystem. In his role, he will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of a growth-focused marketing agenda aligned with the company’s go-to-market (GTM) and business objectives.

Kumar will also spearhead Ingram Micro’s digital transformation journey via the Xvantage platform, redefining partner and customer experiences. His efforts will include brand elevation to strengthen Ingram Micro’s equity in the market, managing ROI-driven marketing budgets, and executing high-impact, data-led campaigns across segments. Additionally, he will implement scalable programs rooted in modern marketing practices such as consultative selling, digital innovation, analytics, and customer-centricity.

Cross-functional collaboration will be a key aspect of Kumar’s role, as he works closely with sales, product, and ecosystem partners to drive acquisition, retention, upsell, and advocacy. He will also drive global marketing strategy through integrated marketing campaigns and programs.
