Schneider Electric India appoints Jaya Mahadevan as Director – Distribution & IT Channel Business

Jaya takes over the reins from M Gurudutt in the Secure Power division

Schneider Electric, the leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, announced the appointment of Jaya Mahadevan as the Director – Distribution & IT Channel Business for Secure Power, Greater India. Jaya takes over from Gurudutt who is moving into a new role as Director Medium Offer and Special Projects, India and will be responsible for Home and Business Networks (HBN). Gurudutt will be working closely with Tarunjeet Sarao, Vice President, Home & Business Networks, Schneider Electric.

Jaya brings with her 23 years of experience of Channel Sales and marketing to her current role, she has previously led multiple functions at IBM for 17 years and her last assignment was as Country Manager for Software Channel Sales. With her considerable expertise in Channel development, excellent Customer and Project management skills, Schneider Electric has appointed Mahadevan to bring in fresh perspective to the business. She will also be responsible for the Alliance Partner Business – Schneider Electric’s partner program that embraces its network of loyal and talented partners by offering them exclusive benefits and special advantages ranging from tools, promotion and other requisite support.

Jaya has taken over the reins from Gurudutt from April, 2019. Gurudutt has been leading this business for Greater India zone for the last 7 years. Sharing the news Venkatraman Swaminathan Vice President – IT Division, Schneider Electric, India, said “Gurudutt brought in great value to the function including adding stability to it. He inculcated a growth mindset in the team as well as Partners and Distributors community. We wish him the very best for his new role and we welcome Jaya to this dynamic role.”

The IT Channel & Distribution (HBN) Business has been an important pillar of IT Division (Secure Power) of Schneider Electric. The go-to-market for more than 50% of Secure Power India Business is through Distributors and Partners. The business has been growing in profitability along with the growth of people in the team. To take this business to the next level, the company has announced the change in leadership for Secure Power India Channel & Distribution.
