ZyXEL is in expansion mode in terms of partners in all business hubs

At the same time every OEM is having their own strength to position their products on customer’s requirements but customers are querying different set of media for independent solutions according to their budget.

ZyXEL is established in mid-market segment with the products like UTM, Switching, Wireless, DSLAM, ADSL, VDSL,GEPON and apart from that, in Telecom space it is majorly serving to all the leading players i.e., BSNL & MTNL etc. as National Govt operators and in private telecom players like Tata, Vodafone, Airtel etc. At the same time, it is also serving regional players. Shedding more light to this, Gopal Joshi, Vice President Sales ZyXEL explains, “Railways, Defence, Healthcare, Hospitality, Education, and Smart Township are some key verticals where maximum network deployment is happening but intriguingly home consumer segment directly or via large and small MSP & MSOs is consuming the max Wi-Fi routers.”

Networking has a big role play in datacentres backed by virtualization, collaboration and cloud applications. Talking about ZyXEL’s innovation in these emerging technologies, Gopal Joshi says, “When we talk of data centres means large information / big data, at central and multiple users connecting from remote place via secure path. Now a day the design of new data centres is happening on 40 Gig or 100 Gig, so the bandwidth at DC or DR side should not be a challenge.” ZyXEL is having 10/40 Gig products and has already started serving some customers on DC upgradation, moreover it has wide range of products for edge/access too.

ZyXEL is actively involved in Govt’s digital India programme and this year Via Large Govt. Telcom, the company has already served more than 500K users for BB connectivity and in future it will be a focused business for ZyXEL. As far as make in India concept, the agenda is to setup infrastructure and hope soon it’ll be serving customers under make in India Brand.

Being a channel focused company; ZyXEL is in expansion mode in terms of manpower and ZYIN partners in all business hubs. It has recruited manpower into max state capitals to address the partner, system Integration and direct project business. ZYIN is very optimistic and with a set agenda and the roadmap ahead, about growth of the business Geo expansion plans, i.e., business development on class B, C, D and E cities along with partners. Giving more information on company’s channel strategy, Gopal Joshi excerpts, ”ZyXEL has big plans for channel expansion, in first phase we have aligned the manpower and regional distributors. We have appointed approx. 12 new regional distributors in all major business locations and at the same time we are in process to realign and retain existing ZY RDs.” Currently, direct or via RDs more than 2500 partners are associated with ZyXEL and company’s focus will be to increase the numbers up to 3500 by end of this year.

Finally: The trends in IT industry are changing due to focus on DIGITAL India initiative by Govt. Now customers are asking for multiservice products like customer can get Voice, WAN, LAN, wireless, higher band width etc. on single product or IT infrastructure, where user can get all then services in one box. With the same view, ZyXEL is able to serve any type of customer with unlimited requirements. At the same time ZyXEL wants its partners to grow with it in a steady and sustainable manner.
