Xerox boosts capacity, productivity on Xerox Impika Presses

Scalability and flexibility are desirable features in today’s demanding print environment. With a commitment to continuous development, Xerox has unveiled an upgrade for new and existing Xerox Impika Compact, Reference and Evolution Inkjet Presses. The firmware enables providers to capture business growth by increasing press volume and productivity, and most customers will not need to make any additional hardware investments.

Print shops can handle more jobs and experience quicker turnaround times with up to 30 percent faster print speeds (40 kHz). Additionally, variable ink drop size optimizes mixed page content with small drops for detail and large drops for improved density and coverage. Very High Quality mode – available on the Evolution press or monochrome-only configurations – delivers new levels of image quality equivalent to 1200 dpi visual resolution multi-drop and enables very efficient ink usage with a larger gamut.

“At Xerox, we are continuously innovating to extend the range of performance and value of our technology to ensure our customers are able to maximize the return on their investment. This allows our customers to scale production capabilities and better serve their customers to meet volume demands as they grow over time,” said Cristina Fernandez, vice president and general manager, Continuous Feed Inkjet Business, Xerox.
