Windows 10 Free Upgrade in 190 countries

1500 retail stores across the country will help consumers move up to Windows 10

 

Microsoft has unveiled Windows 10 availability as a free upgrade or with new PCs and tablets, including innovations such as Cortana, an Xbox app and Microsoft Edge and more.

Windows 10 Offers availability on devices, including PCs, tablets, phones, Raspberry Pi, Xbox One, HoloLens etc. The new Windows Store and Windows Software Development Kit also become available.

Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman, Microsoft India, said, “Windows 10 will be available across 190 countries as a free upgrade or with new PCs and tablets. It is more personal and more productive. It’s safer and more secure. And it’s familiar and always up to date. In India, more than 1500 retail stores across the country will help consumers move up to Windows 10. I am excited that many Indian and multinational partners are ready to offer a variety of Windows 10 devices.”

Windows 10 is also designed to work with Office and Skype, allows switching between apps and stay organized with Snap and Task View. Other innovative apps include Continuum, Built-in apps, Microsoft Phone Companion app and Office Mobile apps.

Vineet Durani, Director, Windows Business Group, Microsoft India, said, “We are entering a new era of Windows. For the first time, we built Windows 10 alongside our customers – the feedback of more than 5 million Windows Insiders helped shape Windows 10. The response from Insiders in India has been overwhelming as well and we are excited to be bringing Windows 10 to India.”

Upgrading to Windows 10 is easy for customers running a genuine Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 PC or tablet. For business customers, Windows 10 is available to start deploying within their work environments, and starting Aug. 1, organizations that have volume licensing can upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 Education.
