Tyco Extends its Illustra Edge Product Portfolio

Available in three camera models: the Illustra Pro 5MP Fisheye, the Illustra Pro 2MP Compact Mini-Dome and Illustra Pro 2MP Compact Mini-Bullet

Tyco Security Products, part of Tyco, has released Illustra Edge, a complete high definition video system combining an IP camera, pre-installed exacqVision Edge video management system (VMS) software and SD storage into one, out-of-the-box solution.

The new Illustra Edge product line provides everything needed to connect and auto-configure in minutes announced the press release.

Ideal for a small installations of up to 10 cameras — or remote sites where server hardware installations are impractical — the Illustra Edge solution provides an easy, effective means to deploy a high-definition IP video system without incurring separate server hardware installation and configuration costs, since the server software and video storage is onboard the camera. For system setup, simply mount the camera, connect and start monitoring live and recorded video. Illustra Edge comes pre-configured with an included server license for simple, automatic installation. For larger applications and enterprise solutions a simple license upgrade to exacqVision Edge+ makes this solution expandable to unlimited servers.

“This is a complete solution for customers looking to create their own video surveillance solution without added costs of servers and complex installation,” said Steve Carney, Senior Director, Product Marketing, Video and Integrations, Tyco Security Products.

Illustra Edge is available in three camera models: the Illustra Pro 5MP Fisheye, the Illustra Pro 2MP Compact Mini-Dome and Illustra Pro 2MP Compact Mini-Bullet. The Illustra Edge fisheye camera has in-camera dewarping offering real-time 180º/360º panoramic views or a quad view delivering 4 independent “Quad” 4×3 normalized video streams. Its 5MP capacity gives it the power of two to four cameras for many indoor applications.
