The IET, IEEMA come together to revolutionise Power sector with of IoT

Partners with IEEMA to inaugurate two tracks on IoT at ELECRAMA, 2018

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (The IET) has partnered with Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) for ELECRAMA 2018. As part of the partnership, the event will include a segment for IoT and Internet, the TechNxT, to its purview this year and the IET hosted two tracks on Internet and IoT solutions for the power sector.
TechNxT shall also showcase state-of-the-art of products and solutions, companies and startups providing cutting edge technology solutions, along with high quality conference on topics varying from the Digital Transformation of Power Delivery, Energy Storage Systems and Solutions& Transportation Electrification.

Speaking at the inauguration of the event, Dr. Rishi Bhatnagar, Chairman of the IET India IoT Panel said, “The digital transformation is reshaping the energy industry radically. Introduction of IoT has reasserted the need for a fresh thinking and approach at a very fundamental level. The whole eco-system needs to work together to succeed and mature and look beyond newer revenue. There is a need to partner with the right solution providers and system integrators. The IET IoT Panel understands this need for providing a platform that facilitates discussions that will help in making the inevitable connected world more efficient, smart, innovative and safe. We are very excited about partnering with IEEMA & ELECRAMA, 2018 for the IoT focussed segment, TechNxT 2018, which promises to be a meeting ground for businesses to come together and collaborate on technologies that will redefine the future of the Power sector.”

Adding to this, Shekhar Sanyal, Director and Country Head of IET India mentioned, “The IET IoT panel has been an IoT focussed platform providing a neutral ground for companies to look beyond the borders of their organisations and come together to create the roadmap for IoT adoption in India and globally. ELECRAMA 2018, was unveiled today by the Chief Guests Shri Piyush Goel, Union Minister of Power and Shri Suresh Prabhu, the Union Minister for Railways. The event was well attended by all the major players in the power sector from global majors to small scale manufacturers as also key stakeholders across the electricity value chain.
