Many organizations have been emerging across banking, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and IT from these markets. Expectations from Partners in Enterprise Mobility in 2017

More and more businesses, especially SMBs and SMEs are looking towards IT for growth and are interested in adopting mobile-driven/ cloud-based solutions. This will continue to place a demand on the traditional channel partner, who was more of a tech vendor to morph into a solution or service provider. Only those channel partners, who adapt and move towards this shift will thrive else they’ll continue to face threat from online marketplaces) for off-the-shelf products. Hence, building competency to provide business solutions will be a key challenge, which they’ll have to overcome in 2017.

Networking & SDN

One good thing is that now there is a lot of the government push towards digitization and the growth of a networking market is a part of this push. Several state governments have rolled out various plans. 4G is coming up in a big way with Airtel and Reliance and such roll outs have given a push to the networking market. On the enterprise networking front, we see growth in wireless controllers and that is mainly because there is a lot of requirement of wireless hotspots. Thus, that market has picked up a lot. There is talk about SDN platform in high end enterprise networking segment.

[quote font=”tahoma” font_size=”13″ font_style=”italic” color=”#262626″ bgcolor=”#f2f2f2″]“The deployment and expansion of 4G technology will also persuade operators to adopt SDN so they can maximize their return on investment.”

Also as per the current market trends , DIGISOL feel that the IoT space is expected to get a big boost this coming year and beyond. IoT products and solutions for homes and businesses would evolve to take the automation experience to a different level altogether. With IoT your Smartphone app would be able to give complete control of your living room appliances to complex devices installed in a factory.

[quote font=”tahoma” font_size=”13″ font_style=”italic” color=”#262626″ bgcolor=”#f2f2f2″]“Demand arising out of Digital India initiative coupled with the existing demand in the domestic market is a huge opportunity for the domestic networking equipment manufacturing industry.”

SDN has emerged as a key technology that will help telcos and enterprises transform their networks. SDN offers a means of reducing costs of service delivery and as a vehicle for increasing service velocity. SDN links networks and applications, enabling direct programmatic control of the network in line with end-user application needs, rather than programming around the network. By having access to network topology information, applications can optimize decisions related to service fulfillment, service placement, and service removal.

Opportunities in ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’ programs further in 2017

No doubt it is a very ambitious campaign that the government of India has embarked upon. We foresee that boost in manufacturing through Make in India is going to provide impetus to the complete economic chain of activities in the country. The IT hardware manufacturing Industry will have a major role to play here with Digital India Initiatives announced by the Government. The 9 pillars under the Digital India initiative are going to be huge demand generator. Demand arising out of Digital India initiative coupled with the existing demand in the domestic market is a huge opportunity for the domestic manufacturing industry.

Many of the Indian telcos have already been engaging vendors to better understand the potential benefits and deployment scenarios for India. The Government-backed initiatives like Digital India and Make in India will lead to the increased adoption of SDN in India.
