Sophos Holds Partners’ Meet at Chandigarh

Aimed at enhancing its channel connect and understanding the market requirements

IT security and data protection firm Sophos successfully concluded its Sophos India Channel Partner Meet 2013, with the theme – “Cyber Security: a new approach”.

Aimed at enhancing its channel connect and understanding the market requirements and needs from a partner standpoint, Sophos used the Meet which took place at Chandigarh, to enable, equip and recognize its best Indian channel partners. Around 46 members of the channel community participated in the Channel Meet.

The Channel Meet came as Sophos readies to expand its operations in India, with the starting up of regional offices in Mumbai and Bangalore, in addition to the country head office in Delhi. The expansion is a part of the Sophos strategic plan to increase its footprint in the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific region.

Sophos, through its Channel Partners, has been able to experience strong growth at over 40% from the previous year, particularly in BFSI and mid-market enterprise segment announced the press release. The Enterprise UTM segment itself has shown a growth more than 100%. The release further stated that with a customized approach for different verticals, and a focus on the government, banking, manufacturing and education verticals, Sophos is making its way deep into the market.

Speaking at the Channel Meet, Sophos India country manager, Kuldeep Raina, said, “The Meet aimed to recognize the key role that our Partners play in helping us consolidate our business and achieve growth in India. A successful year clearly shows Sophos remains committed to the power of partnership.”

Sophos presented its analysis of the Enterprise Security and Threat Management market and shared its strategic direction for India along with a preview of the product-solutions line up in 2013. Channel partners were also apprised of Sophos’ complete marketing and post-sale support mechanisms.
