Schneider Electric emphasizes on ‘Optimizing IT Infrastructure’ at Delhi ‘SME Connect’ event

Certainty in a connected world, the infrastructure designed for your network edge

After Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Chennai, the “5 City SME Connect” event on optimising IT Infrastructure by Schneider Electric was organized in Delhi. Targeted at SME organizations, the highlight of the event was to interpret the SMEs’ technology challenges and mitigate those challenges with a systematic approach.

The SMEs in India are working with significant challenges including a limited set of resources and skill, and uptake of technology too. A precise architectural approach is important to mitigate those challenges. The world of work and play is getting increasingly connected and in order to respond to the uncertainties, an optimized infrastructure is essential. Power, cooling, racking and stacking being the basic requirement(s) of any data center, there has to be a consistent focus on these aspects so that the entire data center caters to the new age needs.

Keeping the challenges in the mind, the 5 Cities SME Connect event organised a panel discussion on Optimising Infrastructure to cater to the new age needs. The key panellists included Naveen Gulati, Sr. Vice President & CIO, Lucideus Tech Private Limited, Ranjan Kumar, General Manager – Sales – IT Division, Schneider Electric India, Upkar Singh, Director IT, Clear2Pay (An FIS Company), Puneet Kaur Kohli, VP-IT & CIO, Bajaj Capital and Nikhil Kumar Nigam, Head IT, Amity University Noida.

Speaking on this criticality of certainty in a connected world, Anubhav Sabharwal, General Manager, Schneider Electric India said, While the Internet of Things is redefining the way individuals are interfacing with technology and vice versa but IoT actually starts with smart and efficient products. Customers today are seeking best UPS, Precision Air-conditioners, Power Distribution units, circuit breakers, sensors, actuators, motor drives etc.  they come for the best products in those respective categories. Schneider Electric is changing the energy management paradigm with the launch of EcoStruxureTM architecture. EcoStruxure architecture leverages advancements in IoT, mobility, sensing, cloud, analytics, and cybersecurity technologies to deliver Innovation At Every Level to the customer right from connected products to edge control, to applications, analytics, and services.

Sanjay Mohapatra, Editor, SME Channels said “the SMEs are becoming the lifeline for any of the countries and for India, it is no exception. With make in India in place, SMEs’ role is becoming paramount. Besides this, government has already reciprocated that 20% of the government and PSU’s procurement would happen from the SME sector. Therefore, it’s important for small and mid-size organizations to adopt new technologies so that they can remain as relevant to the market.”

The final city for the “5 City SME Connect” is Bangalore and will be hosting the event on 21st July, 2017.
