Core Strength as a leader

In my opinion, ones professional or personal wellbeing is determined by an individual’s integrity. Having started by professional journey over 15 years back, it is integrity that has helped me deliver desired output under most trying circumstances.

Over the years industries across various verticals has witnessed a plethora of changes with new technology dominating the market at regular intervals, young workforce bring in new ideas and ever evolving market dynamics. For me all this has led to a vivid market experience in technology sector for over decade & a half. I have been successful in demonstrating abilities in executing successful market plans for businesses, penetrating into newer markets and building a strong rapport with channel & people I have worked with.

Distinctive Decision Making

In the past I have been associated with D-Link for close to 4 years. My second inning now is yet another beginning of a long & fruitful alliance with the brand.

Talking about the role & association, I believe for any leader to be successful & deliver desired result, it is essential to have a clear business oriented approach. In Sales quick decision making is crucial, and like they say –time lost is business lost. These are some of the key points that one needs to take into account while devising a sales strategy. Currently D-Link is on a growth path, so for us the key is to sustain the existing market share, and at the same time chart growth strategy that will ensure holistic development. As a result we are working towards developing a new value added distribution network for new age products.

D-Link is an established networking player in SMB/ SME & consumer segment, and in my current role as business head for channel & mobility I look forward to carving a niche for the brand in this segment. With an impressive product line, and tremendous back-end business support we are confident of delivering strong results in times to come.

Channel Vision for 2016

D-Link at present has a strong distribution network with a healthy mix of National distributor, Business distributor & Channel partner. We have over 500 dealers and 5,000 resellers catering to the networking needs of customers present across the length & breadth of the country. Engaging with these distributors/ partners at regular intervals continues to be top priority for us at D-Link. In addition to the existing network, we are also looking at building a network of Value Added Distributors (VAD) who can further enhance our market reach. So while we continue to leverage on our existing distribution base, our VAD will seamlessly meet customer requirements through our new innovative product line.

Further we have introduced a host of new age consumer networking devices that has opened up a new market for channel. We are using social media effectively to reach-out directly to end-consumer & have designed special promotional campaigns to create brand pull & customer demand. All this has opened up new avenue for growth in consumer wireless space for D-Link partners & re-sellers.

At D-Link it has always been our focus to empower channel, and for this we do invest in channel empowerment through product/ technology training and motivate partners with new schemes/ promotions/ incentive programs.

In 2016 our focus will be to reach-out to customers in smaller pockets of the country like C & D class cities, as they hold huge potential. Internet & mobility devices like Smart phone/ tablets are bringing about a sort of technological revolution in the country. Our focus in these markets will definitely have great impact & opportunity to grow.
