Sanjeev Mohanty is Jabong’s New CEO & MD

Jabong has named Sanjeev Mohanty as as the new CEO and Managing Director. Sanjeev assumed responsibilities on December 7, 2015, when he was officially inducted and introduced to all leadership members.

With 20 years of leadership experience, Sanjeev he has worked with fashion brands such as Benetton India, Madura Garments, SF Jeans and Levi Strauss. He holds a Master’s degree in Apparel Marketing & Merchandising, Fashion & Retail Marketing from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

Welcoming Sanjeev, Romain Voog, CEO of Global Fashion Group (GFG), the parent company of Jabong, said, “We wholeheartedly welcome Sanjeev at the helm of Jabong. With immense experience in the fashion domain and under his able leadership and guidance, I am sure Jabong will scale new heights. I wish him all the best and much success at Jabong.”

Speaking at the occasion, Sanjeev said, “I am looking forward to working closely with very talented teams in creating the most profitable fashion destination in India. My endeavor would be to ensure retailing of top fashion brands and invoking more loyal consumers for Jabong, by providing them a seamless and world-class shopping experience. Leading a digital company is definitely going to be a new experience for me and I am looking forward to apply my learnings to support further growth.”

Passing on the baton, Nils Chrestin, Interim CEO at Jabong and Group CFO of GFG, said, “I am delighted to welcome Sanjeev as our new CEO of the most fashionable e-tailer brand in India. We have a host of plans lined up for the New Year and with Sanjeev’s vision and successful track-record in the highly competitive fashion retail industry.
