Kopelkejoins Riverbed from ZScaler, a cloud security provider, where he served as country manager for Australia & New Zealand
Riverbed Technology has appointed Sean Kopelke as Vice President, Solutions Engineering, Asia Pacific and Japan. Kopelke will be responsible for leading the region’s sales engineering team and helping to build and execute a long-term growth strategy for Riverbed, which includes deepening and expanding its own technology expertise in close collaboration with partners and customers. He joins the company at a pivotal time in its evolution into a multi-product platform company delivering a modern IT architecture for today’s digital enterprise.
Kopelke will be based in Sydney, Australia.

Kopelke, with more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, joins Riverbed from ZScaler, a cloud security provider, where he served as country manager for Australia & New Zealand (A/NZ), responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market strategy for the region.
Kopelke previously served as Director, Managed Service Provider, Asia Pacific & Japan at FireEye, an intelligence-led security company, where he built and executed a strategy to target and develop technology partnerships with Managed Service Providers and Global System Integrators. He previously held multiple senior leadership roles at Symantec, a cyber security company, including Senior Director, Sales Engineering, A/NZ and Director, Emerging Technology, APJ, where he was responsible for driving the early stage growth of new technologies acquired by the company.
