Rajive Chawla Reappointed NSIC Director

His earlier term was 2010-13, the new terms shall last till 2016

Govt of India has reappointed Rajive Chawla as the Director on the Board of The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), a Govt. of India Undertaking under the Union Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises; for the second consecutive term. His earlier term was 2010-13. The new terms shall last till 2016.

Rajive Chawla is very focused towards the growth ad development of MSME industries, start-ups and entrepreneurship development and has profoundly contributed in reaching out to them while facilitating their requirements in areas of Credit, Finance, Marketing, Finance, and Technology etc. In his second directorial term, he will continue to share his experience on the board of NSIC and explore further opportunities for the growth of MSMEs.

On his appointment, Chawla said, “Though MSMEs have national and International potential for growth, but lack of financial literacy, operational skills, proper business planning and sales & marketing issues hamper the development of the industry. NSIC is playing as a catalyst to assist small enterprises with a set of specially tailored schemes designed to put them in a competitive and advantageous position. The schemes comprise of facilitating marketing support, credit support, technology support and other support services.”

He is also the Chairman of Integrated Association of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises of India popularly known as IamSMEofIndia; an Institution formed by Small Scale Entrepreneurs, dedicated to the growth and development of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Businesses through Credit Facilitation, Cluster Development, Networking, Training, Vocational & Skill development etc.

He is the President of Faridabad Small Industries Association, one of the largest representative bodies of Small & Medium Enterprises in India.
