The Education Department under the Government of Rajasthan has announced a unique initiative to promote digital learning across the state using virtual digital rooms through Cisco’s Connected Learning solution. With this collaboration Cisco, along with the Government of Rajasthan, strengthens the foundation of next generation education to empower teachers as well as students through innovative approaches to pedagogy and learning, supports the teachers’ professional development, and provides them with tools to implement and manage training. Under this association, Cisco and SIEMAT have committed to 50,000 man-hours of training annually through its virtual digital classrooms.

Cisco has partnered with the Govt. of Rajasthan to establish Digital Learning Solution Rooms (DLSRs) which will deploy virtual digital classrooms across 12 institutes as part of the government’s on-going social initiatives program locations in Rajasthan.

Government of Rajasthan has partnered with Cisco on various initiatives to digitize the state, which includes Jaipur deploying cutting edge technology as a lighthouse city for sustainable urban development, and the establishment of JDA-Cisco Global Centre Of Excellence (GCoE) to help accelerate local innovation and enable the start-ups in Rajasthan to compete on a global level

Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Hon. Chief Minister of Rajasthan, said, “Education is the most potent catalyst of economic empowerment. Highly-skilled workforce and building local capability by training the teachers will accelerate Rajasthan’s digital transformation. This digital learning initiative will result in quantitative and qualitative enhancement of our training capabilities, ability to leverage experts across the state without having to move locations, while simultaneously improving productivity levels to impart a better quality education to the youth of the State.

“Innovative partnerships such as this are essential if we are to transform the education system in the state of Rajasthan and prepare students to succeed in a digitized economy. Through this initiative, we aim to leverage technology to drive innovation in education and help transform Rajasthan into the State of the future. This is yet another component of our efforts towards creating Digital Rajasthan,” she further added.

The government leaders of Rajasthan are committed to helping teachers develop the expertise to master, succeed, and lead in the digital economy. As part of Cisco’s commitment to Skill India and Digital Rajasthan, we are helping foster innovation and drive change by better preparing and training teachers through digital learning. Teachers’ Day is a wonderful occasion to remember that the next big thing can come from anyone, anywhere, as long as people have the best training and tools. I would like to congratulate this visionary government under Hon’ Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on another great milestone towards making Rajasthan a truly digitized state in India “
