QNAP NAS Completes Milestone Solution Certification

QNAP TVS-EC2480U-SAS-RP (R2) and TS-EC2480U (R2) are powerful unified NAS storage solutions that combine industry-leading performance powered by the latest Intel Xeon processors

QNAP Systems announced that the TVS-EC2480U-SAS-RP (R2) and TS-EC2480U (R2) have achieved certification for Milestone XProtect Corporate 2016 R2 and Milestone XProtect Professional 2016 R2. This certification ensures that the aforementioned QNAP NAS support first-tier and multi-tier storage of both Live & Archive Databases on XProtect® VMS systems, and cost-effective storage can now be easily added to existing systems needing storage expansion that is highly reliable, scalable, and designed for business.

“Milestone Systems is a global industry leader in the open platform IP video surveillance software and this certification is a testament to our continued developments in creating high-performance shared, scalable, and simple external IP storage solutions,” said Trista Huang, Product Manager of QNAP.

QNAP TVS-EC2480U-SAS-RP (R2) and TS-EC2480U (R2) are powerful unified NAS storage solutions that combine industry-leading performance powered by the latest Intel® Xeon® processors and storage architectures allowing up to 240TB of raw storage (24 x 10TB HDDs) and scalable up to 1,520TB with expansion chassis’. Surveillance systems built using the two QNAP models in combination with Milestone XProtect components can record and archive an amount of video consistent with the recommendations of the Milestone Server and Storage Calculator. Integrators and end users should have confidence when building video security and surveillance systems that include the TVS-EC2480U-SAS-RP (R2) or TS-EC2480U (R2) with the XProtect VMS.
