Company uses its leading audio device and camera technology to create native Zoom experiences in every room
Polycom has announced a big step forward in its partnership with Zoom Video Communications, Inc., a leading cloud-based enterprise video conferencing company, with support for Zoom Rooms experiences with Polycom’s leading audio solution, Polycom Trio, and core camera technology. Polycom now offers customers the best of both worlds — full Zoom experience through the premier Polycom Trio conference “smart phone”.
Polycom’s Zoom Rooms solutions come in three separate bundles created for any size – from huddle spaces to large rooms. Polycom Trio can run the Zoom controller User Interface natively allowing the full Zoom Rooms control experience.
“Customers have told us they want our premium Polycom in-room experience with the flexibility and simplicity of Zoom, so we’re excited to expand our partnership with Zoom into the Zoom Rooms space,” said Laura Marx, Vice President, Global Alliance and Partner Marketing. “Making our state-of-the-art Polycom Trio conference phone the center of the meeting room experience means customers enjoy an easy, consistent experience to create meaningful connections.”
Polycom’s Zoom Room solutions can be purchased separately or in three distinct bundles designed for different size meeting rooms:
- Huddle Room Bundle – To provide the best Zoom Rooms experience for the growing number of huddle rooms, the Polycom Trio 8500 Zoom Room includes Trio 8500, new Eagle Eye Mini camera, and the Dell Optiplex.
- Mid-Sized Conference Room Bundle – Increasing the meeting size and need for quality engagement requires the next level of solution. This Trio 8500 Plus Zoom Room bundle adds the powerful EagleEye IV MPTZ camera to the Trio 8500 and Dell Optiplex. The EagleEye IV brings HD video quality to the Zoom Rooms experience.
- Large Conference Room Bundle – The larger conference room Zoom Rooms experience bundle, the Trio 8800 Zoom Room, includes the more powerful Trio 8800 along with EagleEye IV MPTZ HD video camera and Dell Optiplex. Polycom Trio 8800 has more advanced speakers designed to deliver clear, rich audio fidelity in larger rooms.
“Partnering with Polycom on Zoom Rooms solutions reinforces Zoom’s commitment to create the best meeting experiences for our enterprise users. With Trio as the Zoom Rooms controller and audio source and Polycom cameras in the room, users benefit from our outstanding audio and video quality, ease of use, and reliability,” said Oded Gal, head of product management for Zoom.
The three Polycom Zoom Rooms bundles focus on simplicity and ease of use. Bringing the Zoom experience to every sized conference room is easy with Plug and Play deployment of Polycom cameras and the Zoom UI on Polycom Trio. These bundles turn every room into a productivity center for employees to create meaningful connections and collaborate.
Polycom first partnered with Zoom in May 2017 to enable Polycom video solutions, Group Series and Debut, to click-to-join Zoom meetings. Today’s announcement brings the Zoom partnership to the next level.
Polycom’s Zoom Rooms bundles will be available in CALA, EMEA, and APAC later this year.
