PepperTap ties up with Zappfresh for non-veg food

PepperTap has added another new offering to its already exhaustive product catalogue. Gurgaon residents will now be able to order non-vegetarian items such as fresh pork, chicken and mutton thanks to the recently concluded tie-up with Zappfresh.

Even though the service is currently in pilot run, PepperTap hopes to extend the same to people residing in other parts of the country soon.

The idea behind this collaboration is to maximise PepperTap’s FMCG product offering by leveraging Zappfresh’s goodwill in delivering quality meat products and banking on its extensive network across Gurgaon. This alliance will thrive on the inventory led model with cold storage and stock facilities being handled by Zappfresh and Peppertap ensuring the last mile delivery of meat products through its logistics network. With this, the customer will now enjoy an enhanced shopping experience with the PepperTap app.

Talking about this tie-up, Deepanshu, Co-founder, Zappfresh.com, said, “Joining hands with a big player like Peppertap, to mark its foray into the non-vegetarian food items category, is indeed very special for us. Also we are planning to sell seafood with them and are really excited about the alliance as this will help us extend our product line to PepperTap’s user base.”

Navneet Singh, Co-Founder and CEO, PepperTap, said, “We saw a huge overlap in our defining principles and product philosophy with Zappfresh. The brand has been instrumental in enhancing the meat buying experience for the Indian customer by relying on technology. The freshness and hygiene level of their products coupled with on-time delivery has made it a hit with a loyal customer base of 10,000 users in just three months. We aim to make the most of its popularity with this tie-up.”
