Fully rugged, 2-in-1 lightweight laptop detaches easily to become a 10.1” table
Panasonic launches its fully rugged detachable notebook, Toughbook CF-20 especially for challenging environments, including field services, utilities, oil and gas, transportation and logistics, healthcare, insurance, public safety and defence.
Priced at ₹2.25 lakh and with a standard three-year limited warranty for both hardware and software, it is equipped with the Windows 10 Pro or Windows 7 Professional (available through downgrade rights from Windows 10 Pro), CF-20 is one of the first Toughbooks to be powered by the sixth generation Intel Core vPro processor, 128GB SSD and 8GB RAM. Additionally, it sports a glove-enabled touch-screen, and purpose-built Vehicle Mount and Desktop Port Replicator, armed to meet all mobile computing needs in extreme conditions.
“Panasonic Toughbook has been designed to meet the evolving business needs of the enterprises. While enterprises continue to diversify, the need of the hour is mobile computing. Mobility, particularly in mission-critical situations, gives an edge to businesses,” Kensei Isaki, Manager, Asia-Pacific and India Sales Section, Overseas Sales Department, IT Products Business Division, Panasonic, said.
According to Gunjan Sachdev, National Business Head – Toughbook, Panasonic India, the latest device comes as an ideal product for a host of usage scenarios in the industry.
“With CF-20, we are looking at increasing our market share from the existing 60 per cent,” he said, adding that the total market size of such products is capped at around ₹130 crore right now per annum, which is growing at 20 per cent year-on-year. In volume terms, the total size of the market stands around 15,000-20,000 units per year, he added.
As per Rizhkant Zha, Director, System Sales Division, Panasonic India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore police has been using these Toughbooks and the company is in process of wining such type of projects for these Toughbooks.
