Niket Communications & Security Systems as more than two decades of experience in the field of technology. In a chat with SME Channels Jayesh Shah, CEO, Niket Communications & Security Systems, Vapi, talks more about the telecom market.

Brief us about your company?

Niket Communications & Security Systems (NCSS) are one of the leading suppliers and system integrators among the many communications & security solutions providers. With more than two decades of our existence and excellence in the field of technology, we have managed to carve a niche for ourselves in a highly competitive market. The precision in system designs & enthusiasm to provide best in class solutions for our valued clients are the results of the detailed understanding of the requisites. This gives us the edge over our competitors with respect to the service oriented product engineering. We provide solutions in Communications, Security Systems, Office Automation, Home Automation, Networking Infrastructure and IT Services.

What is your turnover and growth percentage?

Our last year turnover amounted up to Rs. 4.5 crores, and gained about 25% growth in comparison to the previous year.

What is your strength in terms of market reach and others?

Our strength solely lies in our after-sales service commitment, helping us gain good referential business. With our constant efforts to increase our product portfolio, we have also been able to gain cross product selling, thereby giving customers a one-stop solution. Further, with the advent of technology and ease of communication, through mobile chat platforms like Whatsapp, client engagement has become easier, further increase our market reach.

What kind of solutions and products you are dealing in?

We provide solutions in Communications, Security Systems, Office Automation, Home Automation, Networking Infrastructure and IT Services. The integration of all products, like IP-PBX, CCTV Surveillance System, Time-Attendance, Access Control, Motion Alarm System, etc. lead to providing a complete package to the customers along with easy maintenance.

How do you find telecom market in India?

Telecom market is definitely not at a booming stage anymore and with the advent of Mobile phones(with cheaper call rates) and other easy & free methods of communication like Whatsapp, Hike, Viber, Google+, PBX market has high competition. However, with misuse of Internet for above applications, telecom market still has a scope for growth with various communication features like branch to branch (multi-location) connectivity, bringing multiple gateway connectivity on a single platform, integration features with other office equipments, etc.

What kind of telecom solutions you have?

Primarily, initiated as telecom solution company, we provided a wide range of business communication systems and products for the home/office and small to medium enterprise sector of the market. Our solution includes EPABX System, IP telephony, video conferencing solution, public address system, call recording solution, etc. Installation & maintenance services are also provided for the above stated range of products.

How do you find Matrix products in terms of its advantages vis-à-vis other brands?

Matrix is a brand that stands for ‘SUBSTANCE’, in terms of technology, depth, genuineness and going beyond the mere outer façade and offering more values in all areas. This is what differentiates Matrix from its competitors. Matrix solutions are packed with ‘More’ – more productivity, more applications, more flexibility, more functions, more features, more cost saving, more reliability and more support. Matrix positioning is based on offering more of these true, inherent values which customers expect from infrastructure solutions.

Matrix provides specific solutions with heavy focus on quality and customer service. Key differentiation lies in providing pre-sales, post-sales and R&D support. Most importantly, Matrix has an in-house manufacturing unit and R&D Centre to offer quick turnaround for clients.

What is the potential and challenge for Matrix in the market?

As seen in the past few years, telecom continues to be growing, though at a slower rate. Matrix must be mindful, that the telecom sector as a whole is becoming more of an interconnected ecosystem. Matrix can experience growth by strategically forming alliances with other technology partners thereby offering additional values to customers. With mobile increasingly tendering every industry, as well as every aspect of business and everyday life, there are a lot many possibilities for value added joint efforts.

Challenges for Matrix lie in the competition and its innovation potential. PBX industry is fast moving from Traditional Hardware to Software based PBX, making it easier for developers to quickly add and improve features to new as well as existing systems.

What the company needs to do to improve the market share?

Specifically, looking at the market share, Matrix needs to enter into segments, which it is currently lacking in. For e.g. Low cost Building Intercom System, which is fiercely price competitive among the local brands, but it has indirect impact on the Industrial PBX segment. Very recently, there was a case, where a client needed around 150 Extensions. After attending the inquiry and making follow up, we got to know, that the order was given to their existing vendor who provided them with Building Intercom System.

Further, Matrix can look into segments of developing or at least integrating with 3rd party Video Door Phone systems, which again have indirect impact on Building Intercom Market.

As a partner what kind of products you want to add this year?

Being into multiple segments already, like Telecom, Time-Attendance and CCTV and given the expected growth rate of CCTV Products specifically, we expect more innovative products in the CCTV segment and more Integration features with Time-Attendance and Telecom segment, with respect to our own products and 3rd Party products. Further, we expect more with the Mobile & Cloud services in line with our products and solutions.
