Netgear helps VSplash

A consolidated storage was required to provide a better control of their system and a comprehensive backup for their own future and audit requirements. They needed a storage that would be iSCSI optimized and a Wi-Fi system that would cater to the entire floor of operation.

Challenges: Their existing 1Gigabit uplinks were giving network lags so they felt the need to upgrade to a network with 10 Gigabit back bone. A consolidated storage was required to provide a better control of their system and a comprehensive backup for their own future and audit requirements. They needed a storage that would be iSCSI optimized and a Wi-Fi system that would cater to the entire floor of operation.

Benefits:

After implementing the solution suggested by NETGEAR, VSplash observed an improvement in the performance of their key applications. The network lag was reduced admirably and managing the storage environment became more efficient. The management were highly satisfied with the ROI of the project as well as the cost reduction and time management that were evident as a result.

Solution:

NETGEAR suggested a stack of 3 GSM7328S to stack with 3 AX742. These 2 Gigabit Ethernet switches provide not only IPv4 service as other NETGEAR models, but also provide IPv6 service. These new features are IPv6 forwarding, capital OSPFv3, IPv6 tunnel. These switches also provide IPv4 and IPv6 multicast service. The new switch supports a Dual image feature. Dual image feature allows switches to have two images in the permanent storage.
