Microsoft plans to help the under-served in India

Microsoft has decided to help under-served achieve more through the power of technology. It plans on making individuals accustomed with digital skills. Devi, Farha and Paige, from diverse backgrounds – have transformed their lives, fulfilling employment ambitions, personal aspirations and realizing life dreams.

Devi, Chennai had a tough start in life, took over her husband’s water delivery business, applying her acquired customer management skills. Farha, Delhi, is moving beyond traditional societal constraints to achieve her dream of becoming a magistrate. Paige, Hyderabad, made a shift from the informal economy of begging and sex work to the formal economy and works at the IT workforce of the country.

Microsoft is committed to building a more progressive future for the youth of the country by creating opportunities for the underserved young people to acquire 21st century digital skills through technical and vocational training.
