Meg Whitman Steps Down as HP Enterprise CEO

Whitman has served HPE’s CEO for six years

Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s chief executive Meg Whitman is stepping away from her leadership role after heading it for the past six years. She will be replaced by company president Antonio Neri who will take over from her from February 1 next year.

She is succeeded by the company president Antonio Neri who will take over from her from February 1 next year.

During her tenure, Whitman, who had once headed eBay Inc, oversaw the split of Hewlett-Packard Co into Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and HP Inc, the PC and printer business of the company as well as layoffs.

Whitman will stay on HPE’s board.
