LG India Enters Video Conferencing Market

Launches premium video conferencing system VR5500F & V5500/V5000/VR5010H/RVF1000

Marking its foray into the video conferencing market with the launch of its premium videoconferencing system LG is eyeing 10% market share in this market. The LG VR5500F and V5500/V5000/VR501OH/RVF 1000 are priced between Rs. 1,90,000 to Rs. 6,99,000.
“Last year, the India video conferencing market was $85 million which is expected to grow to $110 million in 2013, and at a CAGR of 30% in the next four years,” said Hemendu Sinha, B2B (Head), LG India.

According to IDC research, continuing interest by enterprises to deploy video communications helped the Asia-Pacific market to grow over 10 per cent in 2012. The benefits of videoconferencing in increasing productivity, expediting decision making and reduced travel costs are unparalleled.

Sinha also said that the VCS system needs only half of the bandwidth as compared to other video conference system.

LG has appointed Third Wave Homeland Security as its distributor for northern region. With six demo centers across the country, LG is creating awareness among channel partners by showcasing the products and technologies. Sinha explained, “We have also started training program where we educate the channel partners on technology knowhow, recently we have organized channel partner program in Delhi.”
