Lenovo India Services Wins Golden Peacock Awards

Lenovo had a strong edge over other players as it developed strategic solutions based on market requirements.

Lenovo bagged the coveted Golden Peacock Award for the second time in a row. For this year, the award is for “Business Excellence.” In 2014, it was for “Services Innovation.” Established by the Institute of Directors – India, the award recognizes Corporate Excellence in organisations across the globe. Lenovo received the award for demonstrating an understanding of the market and of customers as well as the implementation of innovative and unique market solutions that are both customer and business centric.
On winning this prestigious award, Sudipto Ghosh, Executive Director, Services, Lenovo India said, “In today’s complex business environment it is imperative to develop customer centric solutions that are based on market analysis. Lenovo has constantly strived to adopt best practices that improve service levels which have led to customer delight. Winning the award for the second time reinforces that Lenovo is moving forward in the right direction. Lenovo had a strong edge over other players as it developed strategic solutions based on market requirements. Some of the proactive steps taken by Lenovo included improving customer experiences by expanding the functions of e-services. Measures were also taken to optimize cost and improve the quality of service by developing a strong talent pool.
The Golden Peacock Evaluation Process is an extensive procedure involving a variety of assessment processes. 382 applicants were evaluated on an exhaustive set of parameters out of which 175 shortlisted entries were sent to the jury for final selection. Every year this esteemed award receives over 1000 entries from over 25 countries for various categories.
This year the awards were presented in Dubai by His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development, Government of U.A.E. Other winners in different categories included JK Tyres and Industries, Tata Consultancy Service and Mumbai International Airport, amongst others.
