With an investment of USD one million, all the solutions of Konica Minolta has been displayed under one roof
Konica Minolta Business Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. launched Digital Imaging Square (DIS) with an investment of USD one million.
The Digital Imaging Square is a technology demonstration centre where all the solutions of Konica Minolta has been displayed under one roof which encompasses the latest Multi-Function Printers (MFP) and Production Printers (PP) for corporate and commercial sectors respectively.
This technology demonstration is open for both customers and partners where they can come and play with the company’s technology and understand the value they get from Konica Minolta which the company claimed that this is their commitment towards Indian market and customers.
Konica Minolta started its operation in India in September 2010. Now, it has become the market leader in colour A3 printing for office space with 25% of the market share. It is at No. 2 position with 17% market share in monochrome A3 printing. The company has a turnover of approximately 230 cr INR in India.
“It is because of our outstanding product line and excellent channel partners that we are gaining the market share. Last year we had 200 road shows in India which would not have been possible without the support of our partners. We cater to true needs of the customer and follow a partner-centric approach. We have also a training centre for partners where our partner can come and get trained of the products,’’ said V Balakrishnan, Executive GM (Marketing Sales and Marketing Division).
The company informed that creating new value is the management philosophy of Konica Minolta. Moreover with sites in 40 countries and business operations in 144 countries, Konica Minolta is grabbing the market rapidly. It has over 4,000 machines in field all over India with offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Bangalore.
Tadahiko Sumitani, MD, said, “India is one of the important markets for Konica Minolta and our objective is to continue our top positioning in the Production Printing segment and notch up at least 25% of market share in the office environment in coming to years’ time. We intend to increase our revenue from 230 crores to 300 plus crores.”
