Kissflow CEO leads Native Angel Network’s Rs. 1.5 cr investment in Bversity

Chennai based ed-tech start-up and India’s 1st Biotechnology virtual college, Bversity has announced its seed round today. The company has raised INR 1.5 crores in a round led by Native Angel Network and Suresh Sambandam, Founder and CEO of Kissflow. Other key investors include Nagaraja Prakasam (Chairman, NAN), Andi Giri (CEO, Soft Square), Prabhat Vivekanandan (Director, Richmond Hospitals) , Ashok Bakthavachalam (Chairman, KG Group), Ranjith Chakkath (CEO, Ninja Media), Satish Kumar (Chairman, Milky Mist) among other angel investors from India and the U.S.

Founded in 2022, in Chennai by four friends – Sudharsan V (Founder & CEO), Raghul Jagannathan (Co-Founder & Chief Learning officer), Godwin Immanuel (Co-Founder & CMO) & Saiganesh V (Co-Founder & CFO) came together with this unique idea of designing learning & masterclass courses to facilitate relevant skill-building in Biotechnology. The courses are designed to help students become industry ready by honing skill sets relevant for job roles in the field of Biotechnology in a short period. Bversity aims at bridging the industry-academic gap in the life-sciences space through community led learning programmes.

With the funding raised, Bversity formulated plans on efficiently utilising them to build its team, build a user-friendly & trustworthy edutech platform with masterclass-style courses. The Biotech ed-tech start-up associates with leading industry experts and offers basic to advanced courses with a duration of 3-12 month programs. Bversity is also on its way to start diploma and graduate programs in the upcoming years.

Suresh Sambandam, CEO of Kissflow said, “I saw the possibility of Bversity becoming a virtual version of Stanford University for Biotechnology plus all the 4 founders are a rare combination of creativity, hard working, frugalism bonded with friendship. This is a winning team.”

We want to build a global biotech education brand bringing in the top 1% mentors in the field of life sciences. We are also currently looking to raise our next round of investment to expand and scale.” said Sudharsan V, CEO and Co-Founder of Bversity.

Bversity is on a steadfast mission to create a 1M+ skilled Biotech workforce trained by the experts in the field by 2025. The emerging start-up has planned to launch its exclusive mastery courses on Feb 05, 2023 at IIT Research Park, Chennai in the form of a Biggest BioConclave.
