Kaspersky Strengthens its Position in India

Re-appoints Comguard as a ND to enter strongly into 1000 users’ organization and above

Kaspersky Lab has re-appointed Comguardas its national distributor for enterprise solutions. These solutions will aim to address the ever increasing security threats to corporate in India.
Together they plan to leverage on their strengths in security products and services to develop joint go-to-market strategy in the areas of endpoint security, and targeted security solutions including addressing BYOD challenges.

Maxim Mitrokhin, Director (Operations), Kaspersky Lab (Asia Pacific), said, “India is a strategic market, and this partnership model will contribute significant growth in B2B segmentwhich witnessed 16% growth last year. Kaspersky caters productsinto 300 countries and territories, and 300 million people worldwide. In India we managed double digit growth. In terms of revenue, Kaspersky reached 628 million which is 200 times than a decade ago.”
As per the release, Comguardwillfocus on strategic customer accounts and address the enterprise market of 1,000 users and above.Not only that Comguard will also take care of appointing new partners and their enablement on behalf of Kaspersky Lab.

AltafHalde, MD, Kaspersky Lab (South Asia), said, “In India, we already have Sea Infonet, Ecaps as distributorswhich address the SME segment and now we have appointed Comguard as a national distributor. This partnership between Kaspersky and Comguardhas come at the right time when we have launched our latest enterprise offerings-Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business aimed at medium to large enterprises.”

Comguardhas been distributing Kaspersky corporate products in the Middle East since 2006 and has handled some of the largest government and commercial establishments as clients in the UAE added the press release. Here in India also the company will eye at the government and commercial establishments. The biggest advantage of Comguard is that they have been associated with these organizations through their training initiative, so it will be an easy cake for them to take Kasperky Lab compared to other distributors.

Ajay SinghChauhan, CEO, Comguard, said, “Being an authorized training partner of Kaspersky, we will provide trainings and disseminate information to partners. We will also launch toll free support for Kaspersky in India.”

Further to the press announcement of the partnership in the day time, both the companies had organized a partner event in the evening, where 50 people had joined from potential 35 channel partners. The good thing of the congregation was out of the total number there were nearly 95% of non-Kaspersky Lab partners in the venue to understand the solutions vis-à-vis the competition platforms.
