IRIS Global help set up Smart Classes in over 1,000 Schools for Ladakh’s Sarva Shikha Abhiyan

In a recent bid, India’s Most Preferred National Distributor and Value-Added Integration Enterprise – Iris Global Services has delivered a huge Rs 40 crore order towards the “Sarva Shikya Abhiyan” for the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh.

This Indian Government program aims at spreading primary education in a time bound manner. This initiative promotes making free and compulsory education for children in primary schools between the ages of 6 to 14, as their fundamental right.

Iris Global’s Partner – LS Technologies, Jammu received the prestigious order for delivering smart classes in the schools of J&K including Leh & Kargil. The project was supplied with 6,000 x ACER Desktop Computers, and over 1,000 each of other peripherals such as – Projectors, Numeric UPSs, Cybernetyx Interactive Devices Pantum Printers and Speakers.

“ We have activated 1,012 schools with the latest smart class technologies, said Mr. Sandeep Malhotra, Director, LS Technologies, “ In doing so, Iris Global played a major role as a National Distributor by supporting us with timely deliveries for Desktop and UPSs” he added.

Speaking to newsman, Ms Kamini Talwar, Director, Iris Global said that the procurement for Sab Shiksha Abhiyan, was done by the IT Department of J&K. Our Jammu based partner – LS Technologies, was able to secure the Rs 40 Crore order towards IT equipment supplies. She also disclosed that the ambitious project has just been completed on March 31, 2021.

Iris Global continues with its untiring campaign on Digital India, enabling Technologies for Education, Work from Home, especially during these difficult pandemic times. Iris now plans to diversify into the Healthcare sector.
