HP has released a new ‘tamper evident label’ to help customers identify Original HP toner cartridges.
“Customers who receive a counterfeit product cannot be assured of the high-quality printing experience provided by an Original HP print cartridge,” said Parikshet Singh Tomar, Country Category Leader, Printing Systems, PPS, HP India. “HP’s new anti-counterfeit label on Original HP toner cartridges can help customers identify the right product that delivers high-quality and reliable printing.”
HP’s new Tamper Evident Label on HP LaserJet Toner cartridges includes technology that responds to heat and water exposure as well as cuts or rips. It also features a security seal with color shifting features.
Besides anti-counterfeiting features on HP print cartridges, HP also actively collaborates with local law enforcement agencies to combat the fraudulent manufacture, distribution and sale of counterfeit HP supplies products. Between January and August 2014, more than 386,000 counterfeit cartridges and components worth more than US$ 4.9 million were seized by local enforcement agencies across 34 cities in India.
