Epson Ships 90 millionth HTPS Panel for 3LCD Projectors

Will expand and enhance its HTPS lineup with panels

Epson announced that it has shipped a total of 90 million high-temperature polysilicon (“HTPS”) TFT liquid crystal panels for 3LCD projectors, enough for more than 30 million projector units.

For more than two decades Epson has maintained its position as the world’s No. 1 supplier* of HTPS panels, the core devices at the heart of 3LCD projectors announced the press release. It has led the industry by developing and providing technologies that boost power and performance.

“Epson has consistently strived to develop leading-edge products of the HTPS panels,” said Nobuyuki Shimotome, Deputy COO (Visual Products Operations Division), Epson. “Epson will expand and enhance its HTPS lineup with panels that contribute to the outstanding color brightness, detailed images, energy efficiency and reliability of 3LCD projectors.”
