Eka Software Wins Award for Excellence in Commodity Logistics

Eka Software Solutions, global provider of Smart Commodity Management software, has been awarded Special Commendation for Excellence in Commodity Logistics by Commodities Now magazine, provider of commodities intelligence for market and investment professionals.

The awards were announced at the Commodities Business Awards ceremony held in London on November 26. The annual awards are decided each year by a combination of votes by industry professionals from around the world and a panel of traders and technologists.

“In today’s complex and volatile markets, commodities companies require the strongest software solutions for managing the physical supply chains of agriculture, energy, and metals commodities. Eka has the most advanced software platform for the efficient and effective trading, movement, and storage of commodities,” said Michael Schwartz, EVP & CMO at Eka. “It’s an honor that our solutions and company continually receive recognition from analysts and leading publications.”

Eka’s commodity trading and risk management (CTRM) software platform, InSight CM, covers all aspects of a transaction lifecycle including trading, risk, processing, scheduling, logistics, bulk handling, and accounting. The InSight CM platform supports complex scheduling from origin trade straight through to final destination for all commodities including agriculture, fertilizers, chemicals, biofuels, oil, natural gas, power, coal, metals, and concentrates. Providing real-time scenario and intelligence capabilities to optimize decision making, Eka’s best-of-breed, next-generation platform provides commodities companies a competitive advantage when dealing with today’s volatile markets.

“Deriving maximum cost efficiency from the supply chain is a critical operational issue for multinational enterprises and this award highlights its importance,” said Guy Isherwood, Awards Director and Publisher/Editor of Commodities Now. “We shine the spotlight on leading companies such as Eka that have the talent, dedication, and expertise to drive commodity business solutions.”

Eka continues to receive recognition from top analysts and publications. This award follows recognition received earlier this year, including Eka being named a Major Player in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide ETRM Software 2015 Vendor Assessment and the naming of Eka’s CEO, Manav Garg, to the Commodity Technology Advisory CTRM Thought Leaders program.
