Eka Software signs strategic pact with GlobalView

Eka Software Solutions has announced its strategic partnership with GlobalView for the commodity industries and the developer of MarketView. As part of this partnership, data from GlobalView will be made available in Commodity Analytics Cloud, Eka’s advanced analytics platform for the commodities markets. With this partnership, commodities companies gain an integrated solution for managing commodities that includes advanced analytics and market data from the leading data provider.

GlobalView has been providing innovative market data solutions since 1996 to commodity professionals around the world. Its mission centers on delivering timely and reliable support alongside its MarketView suite of tools to help organizations track and analyze commodity market data for smarter trading, risk management, and compliance decisions.

Eka’s Commodity Analytics Cloud platform is the first analytics platform built specifically for the commodities markets. The platform quickly processes large volumes of data from different sources—internal systems such as ETRM, CTRM, ERP, CRM, and spreadsheets, plus external sources such as market curves, weather data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) sensors. The interface is intuitive and visual, and facilitates complete understanding.

“In discussions with our customers, a recurring challenge is making use of the large amounts of disparate information from multiple data sources, such as ETRM, CTRM, ERP, CRM, spreadsheets, market curves, and weather data,” said Manav Garg, CEO & Founder at Eka. “GlobalView is the leading provider of real-time and historical energy and commodity market information. A key component of Commodity Analytics Cloud is the data eco-system that provides instant access to all the data required from internal and external sources so business users can perform real-time analysis. With the inclusion of data from GlobalView, Commodity Analytics Cloud enables users to focus on data analysis, not data collection and integration.”

Backed by years of deep domain experience, Eka created Commodity Analytics Cloud to address high value business issues spanning multiple categories including P&L, procurement, risk, and supply chain. Users can mix and match different data sets and run optimizations, scenarios, and other analyses on extremely large volumes of data to gain answers to their most important questions immediately.

“By integrating our market data into Eka’s advanced analytics platform, our customers gain a seamless migration path to add advanced analytics to their commodity management,” said Anthony Lagona, CEO at GlobalView. “Eka has a long track record providing effective commodity management software solutions in the agricultural, manufacturing, energy, and metals industries. In today’s environment of ever-increasing data, commodities companies require solutions that turn all that data into meaningful insights. With the combination of our data and the Commodity Analytics Cloud platform, commodities companies gain a complete solution that enables users to learn and share insights for the best decision making.”
