Creating Intelligent Emails

Salesforce have come out with the SalesforceIQ Inbox for Outlook, bringing the power of relationship intelligence and ability to transform email into a modern CRM app

Building on their strategic partnership, Salesforce and Microsoft are making joint customers more productive than ever before with the introduction of the SalesforceIQ Inbox for Outlook. Major outlook clients will now have the ability to close deals from their emails. SalesforceIQ Inbox for Outlook comes on the back of the success of the Salesforce IQ Inbox app for Gmail.

In today’s scenario, sales teams are experiencing information overload. According to a CSO Insights study, sales reps have to search as many as 15 disconnected data sources to find relevant information on a single customer or prospect. As a result, 89 percent of executives believe sales reps are missing opportunities because they can no longer keep up with the information sprawl. In addition, sales people still live in their emails as customers often prefer it as the contact channel. However, email wasn’t originally designed to manage this information overload or customer relationships thus remaining disconnected from business processes and the customer experience.

Salesforce claim to have solved this problem for reps with SalesforceIQ Inbox. It transforms reps’ inboxes by connecting their email, Salesforce CRM and customer social data. SalesforceIQ’s Relationship Intelligence technology connects the dots and unifies customer data by leveraging data science to automatically capture, analyze and surface information that is relevant for stronger customer relationships.

As per the press release, SalesforceIQ for Outlook provides joint customers the opportunity to work more intelligently and efficiently than ever before. It builds on a foundation of existing joint solutions, including the Files Connect integration with SharePoint, OneDrive for Business and Skype for Business Integration with Salesforce Lightning Experience.
