Bitdefender releases Next-Gen Endpoint Protection against advanced attacks

Enterprises with limited IT resources and IT security expertise can now have accurate, aggressive protection and automation with better context of threats

Bitdefender has announced its layered next generation endpoint protection platform (NGEPP). Bitdefender GravityZone Endpoint Security HD, part of the Bitdefender GravityZone family of offerings, combines all the security services that organizations need in a single delivery platform to safeguard organizations from the highest cadre of sophisticated malware and malicious attacks that most other endpoint security products are blind to.

Organizations today are faced with a coverage gap in that modern malware from zero-day exploits, file-less attacks, advanced ransomware and phishing attempts have been successful in evading detection of existing antivirus tools. GravityZone Endpoint Security HD blocks these threats through aggressive and accurate detection, lower volume of noise and more actionable insight into relevant incidents. It leverages aggregated cloud and local machine learning algorithms, anti-exploit, process behavioral monitoring and integrated sandbox technologies in one single integrated modular agent that defend against these attacks.

At the same time, enterprises need stronger, consolidated endpoint controls including prevention, detection and automated response, and with close to zero false positives from an easy to administer console. GravityZone Endpoint Security HD enables security teams to deploy an integrated, next-generation endpoint protection solution that delivers automated aggressive protection with a high degree of accuracy while providing better context of threats.

GravityZone HD features HyperDetect, an additional next-gen layer with the unique capability of identifying and reporting suspicious activities and providing early visibility into valuable Indicators of Compromise (IOC). It also includes the integrated Sandbox Analyzer, which enables the endpoint to take immediate action to block suspicious files in pre-execution, automatically submits them to the sandbox for further analysis, and can terminate malicious processes and roll back malicious changes. Security administrators now have enhanced endpoint optics into unauthorized or suspicious operating system requests, evasive actions to avoid detection and connections to command and control centers.

“In a recent survey we conducted*, 95 percent of respondents told us they expected their organization to experience an advanced targeted attack,” said Harish Agastya, VP of Enterprise Solutions at Bitdefender. “In response, security teams are stitching together multiple disparate endpoint products but they only create operational fatigue that let threats through. The market is craving a layered next-gen approach to endpoint security like GravityZone HD.”

Availability

GravityZone Endpoint Security HD will be generally available on June 27, 2017 as part of the GravityZone Elite integrated security suite.
