Bitdefender has announced appointment of BD Software Distribution (BD Software) as Country Partner for India.
BD Software will introduce a wide range of enterprise and consumer products by Bitdefender in Indian market focusing on advanced malware detection technologies and unique solutions’ architecture making Bitdefender a top-ranking security brand globally. All Bitdefender products will be exclusively distributed by BD Software in India.
Entering Indian market through a dedicated Country Partner is a part of a global business development strategy of Bitdefender. Headquartered in Bucharest, Romania, Bitdefender has its own offices in the United States, Spain, Germany, UK and Ireland. In rest of the markets, including South Asia, the company is represented through Country Partners or Distributors.
“We are trying this business model for the first time in India as before we have been working through a direct distribution model in this market and were focused rather on consumer products. As our global focus is changing towards enterprise segment, we believe the most efficient strategy for tapping Indian market would be appointing a partner who knows and understands this market well,” Alex Ionitescu, Business Development Manager APAC said.
