Axis Communications recognizes Quantum as Technology Partner

Axis Recognized Company’s Performance and Collaboration at ACCC 2016

Quantum Corp. was named 2016 Technology Partner of the Year by Axis Communications at its 11th annual Axis Connect and Converge Conference (ACCC 2016). Axis has presented its annual awards to top channel, software and technology partners.

As a Quantum Advantage Partner, Axis works closely with Quantum to deliver proven joint solutions for today’s demanding video surveillance and security environments. Axis has joined the company on stage at industry events such as ISC East 2016 to help security professionals understand the importance of storage in video surveillance workflows. The companies have also collaborated to address the unique surveillance and security challenges found in many healthcare environments.

Quantum’s surveillance partner ecosystem has tripled in size over the last year and now includes nearly 40 partners. This growth reflects a shift in how the security community views storage, increasingly treating it as a foundational element of a surveillance strategy.

Larry Newman, Senior Director of Sales, Axis Communications Inc said, “Axis partners are not only part of the industry’s largest professional network but also an extension of our team. It is an honor to bring together the top companies in our industry at ACCC and recognize those strong relationships and shared sense of leadership in providing innovative security and business solutions. Quantum stands out for taking a fresh approach to video surveillance storage that will enable security professionals to take full advantage of the latest camera and analytical technologies available today.”

Wayne Arvidson, Vice President, Surveillance and Security Solutions, Quantum said, “Quantum’s multi-tier storage makes the combination of storage performance and data retention more affordable. Axis was early to recognize the role intelligent storage plays in enabling its customers to retain data longer and incorporate real-time analytics into their surveillance program. As a result of our collaboration, many Axis customers now have more budget available to spend on cameras and analytics, for an effective video surveillance environment.”
