ASUS Partners with NGO Pratham, Strengthens ‘Make in India’ Commitment

ASUS, an emerging player in the smartphone space, has formed a partnership with Pratham Education Foundation to engage with the underprivileged children that will enable them to showcase their creative skills.

The announcement is in-line with the initiatives ASUS is taking to pledge its support to the country. Recently the company announced its manufacturing facility in Sri City.

Under the partnership, a drawing contest was scheduled at 10 centers of the foundation in Mumbai. The contest saw participation from over 200 children who were asked to use their imaginations to represent their creativity on paper with colors. The collage of these drawings will be incorporated in a bag designed exclusively for 2000 buyers of “Made in India” ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser that will be available in ASUS exclusive stores and on Flipkart. In addition to the unique bag, the buyers will also receive a Diwali surprise from the ASUS family.

“We are committed to India and actively look for ways to make our presence more meaningful. Like the commencement of our Indian manufacturing facility, our association with Pratham Education Foundation is a step in this direction. We are happy to have been a part of an activity that helped the children indulge in an artistic pursuit and also showcase their talent,” said Peter Chang, Regional Head – South Asia & Country Manager – System Business Group – ASUS India. “Pratham has been instrumental in educating children and empowering them with knowledge. We are certain that this initiative has given them a platform to express themselves through art while also participating in an important extra-curricular activity.”
