NETGEAR Releases New Wireless Outdoor Access Point for SMBs

Says WND930 is its first outdoor wireless access point and first access point using dual band 802.11ac WiFi

NETGEAR has launched the new Dual Band High Powered 802.11n NETGEAR WND930, Weather-proof Outdoor Access Point. The official release announced that it extends network reach beyond fixed walls to provide WiFi access for outdoor environments.

It further added that it is an ideal solution for hotels, resorts, schools, healthcare facilities, multi-dwelling apartments, and other organizations needing high-throughput, high-capacity outdoor wireless coverage for parks, playing fields, pool areas, parking lots, and other sites.

The WND930 is a dual band concurrent 802.11n Outdoor Access Point that offers up to 500 mW of RF output power combined with a high gain internal antenna to maximize coverage. The internal directional antenna of the WND930 enables it to operate as a point-to-point mesh link between remote locations or it can operate in access point mode with an external antenna option for 360-degree coverage. It is powered by redundant dual Power over Ethernet (PoE) Gigabit ports and also has the capability to directly power other PoE devices such as surveillance cameras. Designed for easy setup, the WND930 comes with wall mounting and pole mounting kits for flexible deployment options. The robust WND930 has an IP-67 industrial grade enclosure
