Zoho organised the final round for CliqTrix, an app-building contest for Zoho’s business communication software-Cliq, at its Estancia Campus in Chennai. College students from all across the country had participated in the competition. Over a period of three months, they built applications on Cliq’s platform using Deluge, Zoho’s own online scripting language. They were provided on-campus and online training by the Zoho Cliq team.
The winning extension, FAQ Bot – a knowledge exchange system was developed by Mr.Pradeep Kumar and Manoj Sabareesh.M, final year students from National Engineering College, Kovilpatti. The objective behind this bot is to provide a knowledge manager for the team. The bot is entirely built on the Zoho Cliq platform and powered by Cliq’s platform storage.
“CliqTrix is an opportunity for students to have a hands-on experience of developing applications on a cloud software platform,” said Mani Vembu, COO, Zoho Corp. “While still in college, they can get exposure to software that power successful enterprises.”
Apart from providing students with industry exposure and app-building experience, CliqTrix gives students a platform to connect with like-minded individuals.
