ICT experts address tech trends at BICSI India Conclave 2017

ICT experts presented a wide array of technology trends, best practices & infrastructure solutions

BICSI concluded the BICSI India District Technology Conclave 2017. The conference attracted over 400 attendees from the ICT industry and showcased latest advancements in ICT, alluring insights on a wide array of technology perspectives, standards, ICT skill development, trends and best practices in design & installation. An interactive accelerated learning workshop on fiber optic installation fundamentals was also held concurrently.

The conference opened with a welcome speech by Ninad Desai, District Chair, BICSI India, as he highlighted BICSIs role in bringing together ICT architects and forward thinkers, discuss & debate advantages of skilling & building careers in areas of enterprise structured ICT infrastructure and how BICSI is committed to address the skill gap with high eminence education and training that would accelerate productivity, opportunity and growth.

Easwaran Subramanian, Partner, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India, evoked the conference, with a keynote address, as he shared thoughts on Industry 4.0 – the new industry pacesetter. Further, Kasi Visweswaran, District Vice Chair, BICSI India, presented a holistic perspective of BICSI and how it has served as an esteemed platform to nurture ICT skill, learning & innovation.

A list of eminent speakers endowed the conclave by their presence and the conference session witnessed a series of informative presentations. Present at the occasion, Ashok Srinivasan, RCDD, Director, Technical Sales – India & SAARC, CommScope, shared interesting insights on infrastructure for cloud, while highlighting its capability and utility in the ICT space.

This was further followed by an expert speak, as Chandrashekar G, National Technical Manager, Belden India, illustrated the importance of robust cabling system to support the wireless infrastructure, whereas, Wayne Allen, Product Marketing Engineer, Fluke Networks, focused on emerging ethernet technologies to support Industry 4.0.

Kiran K Katariya, RCDD, Regional Manager – Field Application Engineering, CommScope, shared his views on National Building Code 2016 and what it has for ICT infrastructure installations, while technical presentations were delivered by Ravi Raj U, Brand Head, Director – Sales & Support, Netrack and Peter Hamilton, Business Development Manager – Asia Pacific, Panduit Enterprise, apart from ICT IQ quiz conducted by Ninad Desai, District Chair, BICSI India.

A panel discussion chaired by Bala K Chandran, Advisor, BICSI India, focused on the opportunities provided by ICT and the dynamics of skilling. The panel members included: Prof Harish Kumar, Director, Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Panjab University, Pradeep Jaswani, Regional Head – West, TSSC, Ketan Kothari, Managing Director, Sigma-Byte Computers Pvt Ltd and Mylaraiah J N, RCDD, Director – Sales (India & SAARC), CommScope Solutions India Pvt Ltd. Leading brands supporting the event were CommScope, Belden, Fluke Networks, Panduit, Netrack, D-Link, Digisol, Rosenberger & Siemon.
