TAIT announces Paathshaala Programme for members

Trade Association of Information Technology (TAIT), has successfully launched its ambitious TAIT Paathshaala programme this month in Mumbai. This programme has been launched for TAIT members and their staff with the tag line “Kuch Naya Sikhte Hain”.

Rushabh Shah, CEO Graham Information Systems and TAIT President who was instrumental in conceptualisation of this project took the initiative in conducting the first edition of this project titled Office Suites and Spreadsheet productivity. Rushabh Shah has trained thousands of students during early days of his professional career, having started as an IT trainer. His education in computer science and master’s in business management helps him position use of technology for business in a very succinct way.

Rushabh covered the different types of Office suites (collection of programmes comprising of word processor, spreadsheet and presentation software). He explained the merits, demerits of these packages and also educated members the licensing needs of these programmes. Paresh Agawne, technical manager, HTP Global systems remarked that attending the workshop helped him immensely in understanding different options and compliance issues.

He went on to cover important productivity features of spreadsheets with live examples and demos in an interactive manner. Commands like Vlookup, IF, Pivot Tables, Charts, conditional formatting, etc were demonstrated. Prakash from Micronics System Services said that this was an amazing session and it has helped him immensely.

TAIT directors, Kripashankar Chaube, Parag Shah and Viren Bavisi were amongst the members who attended the workshop. TAIT has planned several such workshops during this year covering a host of topics in hardware software, soft skills training and a few specialized training sessions. Deepak Sachdeva from RX Infotech mentioned that his objective of attending the workshop was to have insight into conditional formatting. While, Ajay Parekh, Shreemat computers said that such workshops are very essential. Attendee Vidya Parkar and Ankita Ghadi from Graham Information remarked that the various functions and concepts will make his spreadsheet usage faster and productive.

The second workshop was conducted with a focus on Tally ERP by Ketan Gandhi of M/s V-Intech, who is three Star Tally Certified Partners with over a decade of experience.

The workshop demonstrated the New Tally Capabilities and answers were given to various queries raised by the participants. It covered ‘Post Dated Cheque Management in Tally.ERP9 Release 5.x’ – a feature very useful to the IT Community.

‘New Statutory Features in Tally. ERP9 Release 5.x’ was another topic discussed during the session that explained Tally has simplified Statutory Taxes management and feature related to VAT was specifically dwelt upon. With the new update, the process of setting up of Masters is now simplified; Multiple VAT Classification can now be handled easily and accurately.

In the open house session, queries related to handling e-commerce sales transactions and generating related reports, multi tax in single invoice, usage of delivery challans salesman wise outstanding, etc. were answered.
Rushabh Shah, President, TAIT said, “The objective of this Paathshaala is to educate our members on day-to-day business related challenges and taking an effective approach to their business productivity. It is overwhelming to see that our members attended and appreciated the workshop.”
