Dell India has announced partnership with Supertron for the national distribution of its cloud client computing portfolio and the Dell Chromebook 11.The partnership will aim to strengthen the reach of these enterprise device offerings across the Indian market. The new partnership is established on a national distribution framework and will enable smooth availability of these products in top 8 Indian cities in the first phase, including Ahmedabad and Pune, and growing in both reach and product range over the next two quarters.

Anil Sethi, Channel Head, Dell India said, “Dell’s philosophy, when it comes to partnerships with key partners and distributors, focuses on a mutually beneficial relationship. The last couple of years have seen us strengthening relationships with our channel partners across the country. Virtualization is widely being embraced by IT heads and CIOs, and the demand for our cloud client computing portfolio has seen a rise in the Indian market. The Dell Chromebooks are seeing positive interest among users who require sturdy devices for on-the-go use and have the benefits of business devices like security and manageability features – especially in the education sector. Through this partnership, Supertron will have access to both these robust device portfolios, while Dell will be able to leverage Supertron’s existing strong partner base and all India presence.”

With this partnership, Dell aims to facilitate new business opportunities for both parties, enabling Supertron to access and sell Dell’s versatile Wyse and Chromebook portfolio, while Dell will leverage Supertron’s country wide network. This partnership will not only enhance Dell’s reach in the Indian market for its Dell Chromebook 11 notebooks and Cloud Client Computing portfolio but will also benefit customers who are leaning towards adopting virtualization as an enterprise strategy, with better service and access to devices that are secure, reliable and can seamlessly be integrated into a virtualized infrastructure.

“Given our existing strong partnership with Dell for the consumer portfolio, we are looking forward to extending this relationship on the Commercial side, to bring customers closer to Dell’s wide range of Cloud Client Computing solutions, starting with the Wyse Thin Clients and Chromebook portfolios. With our presence in key markets for Dell and a strong partner network, we will be able to carry forward Dell’s technology legacy to the right customers on the basis of their requirements.” said V.K Bhandari, CMD Supertron Electronics Pvt Ltd.

Dell’s channel strategy is based on customer feedback and aims at ensuring that customers have easy and prompt access to Dell’s best in class products and services. The strategy includes extending the reach of Dell’s commercial products across Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities of India.
