‘Dell PC Literacy Days’ Campaign Launched

Dell India has marked the beginning of Dell PC Literacy Days a technology awareness initiative to commemorate the World PC Literacy Day on December 2nd.

The Dell PC Literacy Days will begin on December 1st and go on until December 20th, 2015. This period will see a comprehensive customer outreach program wherein Dell aims to empower and educate potential users on the benefits of owning a PC for existing as well future users. The program is designed to promote awareness about the basic uses of the PC and educate users on how access to computing can add value to their lives. The PC Literacy Days campaign will reach out to consumers through both the online as well as offline routes.

To kick-start this campaign, Dell is launching a series of strategic initiatives, the first of which is an easy financing option for Dell customers. With the aim to reach out to ‘first-time buyers’ and to make the purchase of the PC simpler and more attractive, customers can take home a Dell Inspiron Notebook or Desktop PC at just Rs.749/-, paying the rest in easy EMIs at 0% interest in 6 instalments. Through the easy financing options available from Dell, customers will have easy access to purchasing a device either for individual use or for their homes.

Dell’s commitment to take the PC to the masses is also being reiterated in the flagship ‘Go Rural’ program that focuses solely on taking the Dell experience to Tier 3-5 towns.

In addition to this, during the PC Literacy Days, customers can walk into any Dell Exclusive Store (DES), and avail PC Literacy Training and certification worth Rs.599/-, free of cost.

“The campaign is aimed at shedding light on the everyday benefits of using a PC, be it at an individual level or for an entire household. The PC is the perfect companion for both work and play, in everyday living and can complement the personal and professional ambitions of our customers. This initiative ties in with our overarching goal to spearhead technological enablement through PC adoption, across the country,” said Ritu Gupta, Director, Marketing, Dell India.
