Since 2006, Jive Communications has helped countless customers run and manage their phone and conferencing systems from anywhere, in the cloud. When it joined the LogMeIn family in 2018, Jive was able to amplify its efforts to help businesses work how and where they wanted as a product within LogMeIn’s market-leading unified communications and collaboration (UCC) portfolio.
Less than a year later, Jive’s technology joined forces with GoToMeeting to create a new, fully-integrated application for businesses and individuals to easily connect and communicate — GoToConnect. With GoToConnect, customers not only have powerful and reliable audio, conferencing, SMS/texting and cloud-based telephony, but professional web, video and screensharing capabilities to bring together individuals and teams both internally and externally via a web browser or a downloadable desktop app.*
The market was demanding an all-in-one unified solution, and GoToConnect delivered. GoToConnect users can seamlessly switch between different modes of communication in one easy-to-manage and intuitive app, from VoIP calling and meeting to chatting, texting and more.
With GoToConnect, Jive technology was now part of something that was so much more than just a business phone system. This evolution paved the way for a new era. We looked at our portfolio of products and saw that our customers could get everything they loved from Jive (plus meetings and more) with our new GoToConnect. Today we are announcing that Jive will no longer be a stand-alone product or a brand, but its legacy and amazing technology will continue to live on within GoToConnect.
What does this transition mean for current Jive customers?
GoToConnect lets you keep all of the voice capabilities and settings that you love and adds professional HD meetings to the application you’re already using. Best of all, current Jive customers have automatically been upgraded!
All this new functionality is coming to you with the added benefit that your overall monthly cost will likely remain the same or even be lower! Meetings are built directly into the same application you use for phone, chat and text, which means you can jump from a chat or call directly into an ad hoc meeting. No switching apps. No wasted time.
Building our future UCC products on our GoToConnect platform means customers get all the latest innovations. For example, GoToConnect seamlessly allows users to add our latest offering with GoToConnect Support Center. Support Center brings the most used Contact Center features to users in an affordable and easy to deploy way.
